Ceramic Green Body Binder Wax is a dedicated wax auxiliary material for ceramic green‑body manufacturing. When blended into ceramic powder formulation, it provides internal lubrication during moulding. The wax improves powder flowability, enhances green‑body forming integrity, and delivers release performance for demoulding. It gradually burns out without heavy residual ash during subsequent sintering process for precision ceramic production.
Product Overview Ceramic Green Body Binder Wax is a thermoplastic wax‑based processing aid developed for ceramic green‑body forming. Mixed homogeneously with ceramic raw powder, the wax functions as internal binder and lubricant in compression moulding and injection‑moulding workflows. It reduces inter‑particle friction of ceramic powder, improves filling performance inside mould cavities and helps to produce intact green bodies. Meanwhile, it offers demoulding release property to minimize surface defects when removing green parts from moulds. During high‑temperature sintering, the wax is gradually decomposed and burnt away, leaving very low ash residue. This product is suitable for structural ceramics, electronic ceramics and precision ceramic component manufacturing.
Key Features ‑ Serves as combined binder, internal lubricant and mould‑release agent for ceramic green‑body forming ‑ Enhances ceramic powder flowability for better mould cavity filling ‑ Reduces green‑body cracking and chipping during demoulding operation ‑ Low ash residue after thermal burnout in sintering cycle ‑ Good compatibility with various ceramic inorganic powder raw materials
Typical Technical Properties ‑ Chemical Type: Modified synthetic hydrocarbon‑based binder wax ‑ Appearance: Off‑white pastilles or fine granules ‑ Melting Range: Refer to TDS ‑ Ash Content: Refer to TDS ‑ Thermal Decomposition Temperature: Refer to TDS
Applications ‑ Electronic ceramic production: Forming auxiliary for insulator and ceramic component green bodies ‑ Structural ceramic workshop: Binder‑lubricant for precision pressed ceramic parts ‑ Ceramic injection moulding: Thermoplastic wax binder for ceramic feedstock preparation ‑ Technical ceramic manufacturing: Processing aid for small‑size complex‑shaped ceramic blanks
Processing Recommendation Weigh the wax according to formulation ratio and mix thoroughly with ceramic powder under controlled heating. Maintain proper mixing temperature to achieve homogeneous feedstock. Conduct burnout testing in advance to verify ash residue before mass production of ceramic green bodies.
