It can react with silanol groups on the surface of silica filler to restrain the hydrogen-bond structure between silica and silicone polymer. It significantly prevents the structuring phenomenon of HTV silicone rubber, enhances rubber plasticity and processing fluidity. It is an ideal structure control agent for high temperature vulcanized silicone rubber.

Hydroxy Silicone Oil 100cst CAS 70131-67-8 is low viscosity hydroxyl-terminated polydimethylsiloxane (OH-terminated PDMS).This product contains active terminal hydroxyl groups, which can react with silanol groups on fumed silica surface. It can block hydrogen bond formation between silica filler and silicone rubber molecular chain, effectively inhibit structuring effect of HTV silicone rubber compound.
