Under heavy contact loads, molybdenum disulfide platelets are transferred onto metal mating surfaces to build a low‑shear solid protective layer. This solid film prevents direct metal‑to‑metal contact when instantaneous shock‑loading occurs. The lithium‑soap thickener provides good mechanical stability against vibration, which is critical for mining equipment exposed to continuous impact and shaking.
When applied on rolling bearings, linear sliding guides and threaded bolt surfaces of mining machinery, the grease forms a cohesive composite lubricating film. For threaded fasteners, this lubricating layer mitigates thread galling, cold welding and seizure during tightening and prolonged service, facilitating later disassembly. On bearings and guide rails, it absorbs periodic shock loads generated by ore‑processing operations and reduces abrasive wear induced by mineral dust.
Under continuous heavy mechanical shearing and vibration on mining sites, the grease maintains structural integrity and reduces oil bleeding. Anti‑oxidant additives retard thermal‑oxidative degradation of mineral base oil, extending re‑greasing service intervals. Anti‑rust ingredients offer protection against humidity and mine‑site water splashing.
It is suitable for periodic re‑greasing of mining equipment rolling bearings, sliding guide assemblies, high‑load bolt threads and threaded connecting parts. The coating thickness should be properly controlled. Excessive grease application easily traps mineral dust and grit particles and accelerates abrasive wear; insufficient coating cannot form an adequate MoS₂ protective transfer film, resulting in rapid thread seizure and bearing wear.
Do not mix this lithium‑based molybdenum disulfide grease with silicone grease, fluorosilicone grease or complex‑calcium‑sulfonate greases. Incompatible blending destroys the soap thickener network, impairs extreme‑pressure performance and weakens anti‑seize protection for threaded components. Store in tightly sealed original containers inside cool, dry indoor warehouse. Avoid prolonged high‑temperature storage to retain heavy‑load extreme‑pressure lubricating and anti‑seize performance for mining bearings, guides and threaded assemblies.
