Product Overview Optical Lens Masking Protection Wax is a specialized thermoplastic masking wax developed for optical lens manufacturing workflows. In molten state, the wax is coated onto pre‑finished optical surfaces. Once cooled and solidified, it creates a firm, uniform protective masking layer. This layer acts as a physical barrier to defend delicate lens surfaces against scratching, grinding grit abrasion and minor chipping during edging, cutting and secondary machining. After mechanical processing is completed, the masking wax can be completely cleaned away by suitable solvent or thermal stripping. No persistent residual film remains on the optical surface. This masking wax is widely adopted for processing of glass lenses, precision optical prisms and optical components in optical workshops.
