Oxidized Polyethylene Wax (CAS 68441‑17‑8, A‑C 629A Equivalent) is low‑molecular‑weight oxidized polyethylene wax designed for rubber processing applications. Its moderate polar structure offers balanced compatibility with non‑polar rubber elastomers and inorganic mineral fillers. When added during banbury mixing, the wax distributes uniformly within the rubber compound. It reduces internal friction of the rubber melt and provides effective external release lubrication at the metal‑rubber interface during extrusion. It lowers extrusion pressure, improves extrudate surface smoothness, reduces surface defects such as tearing and shark‑skin on continuous extruded EPDM profiles. This product acts as a cost‑effective imported substitute for A‑C 629A for rubber compounding and profile manufacturers.
Typical dosage ranges from 0.6‑3.2 % calculated on total rubber compound weight. Feed the wax together with elastomer, fillers and other rubber chemicals during banbury internal mixing stage. Avoid excessive loading which may negatively impact rubber vulcanization and final physical properties. It is strongly recommended to carry out lab mixing and extrusion trials before formal mass‑scale production.
Store sealed sacks in dry and well‑ventilated warehouse. Keep away from direct sunlight and high‑temperature heat sources. Prevent moisture absorption. Reseal sacks promptly after partial discharging.
