This cationic quaternary ammonium antistatic agent delivers dual‑functional properties of static dissipation and emulsification. It is developed for textile fiber finishing, water‑based coating and water‑borne ink manufacturing. When applied onto textile fibers, it forms a thin hydrophilic surface film to dissipate static charges and suppress fiber‑friction‑caused static build‑up. Within aqueous coating and ink formulations, besides providing antistatic performance, it also acts as auxiliary emu
Product DetailsThe quaternary ammonium‑based cationic molecule contains long hydrophobic alkyl chains and positively charged hydrophilic ionic groups, which endows the product with both surface‑active emulsifying capability and antistatic functionality. It can be applied in two major application fields: textile fiber finishing and water‑based coating & ink systems.
For textile fiber treatment, this additive can be used in padding, dipping or spraying finishing baths. After drying on fiber surfaces, hydrophilic ionic segments retain minor moisture from the surrounding atmosphere, building a conductive surface layer. It reduces static electricity generated during high‑speed spinning, weaving and fabric finishing processes, alleviating fiber entanglement, fly and static‑induced fabric curling.
In water‑based coating and water‑borne ink production, it serves as auxiliary emulsifier. It improves wetting of pigments and fillers, stabilizes resin emulsion systems, and simultaneously lowers surface resistivity of dried ink and coating films. It reduces dust adsorption on freshly printed and coated surfaces.
Since the product is cationic, mixing with any anionic surfactants, anionic emulsifiers or anionic resin raw materials must be strictly avoided. Direct blending will result in flocculation, precipitation and formulation failure. Its antistatic performance is humidity‑dependent; antistatic effectiveness decreases under extremely dry ambient conditions. Excessive dosage will lead to fabric stickiness on textile goods, or surface hazing and water‑sensitivity increase for cured water‑based coating and ink films.
Recommended dosage range: 1.2 wt%‑4.0 wt% on fabric weight for textile finishing bath; 0.3 wt%‑1.6 wt% based on total formulation weight for water‑based coatings and inks. Laboratory pre‑testing is required to verify emulsion stability, pigment dispersion state, surface resistivity, fabric hand‑feeling, film water‑resistance and discoloration risk before large‑scale production.
Store in tightly sealed containers inside cool, dry and ventilated warehouse. Protect from direct sunlight and high‑temperature storage. Prevent cross‑contamination with anionic chemical materials. Reseal containers promptly after partial discharging to preserve original solution stability.
