Rubber Release Wax Powder Modified PE CAS 9002‑88‑4 is specially modified low‑molecular‑weight polyethylene wax in fine powder form for rubber formulations. Through targeted surface modification treatment, this wax achieves good compatibility with various rubber polymer systems. It delivers both internal lubrication within rubber compound and external mold‑release effect during high‑temperature vulcanization. When the rubber mixture is heated inside hot molds, a thin isolating wax film is formed
Product Detail Page: Modified PE rubber release wax powder is manufactured by thermal degradation of polyethylene resin followed by targeted surface modification, melt refining, cooling and fine pulverization. Each production batch is tested for softening point, melt viscosity, particle‑size distribution, anti‑staining property and vulcanization mold‑release performance to ensure stable processing behaviour for rubber mixing and molding operations.
Molded rubber and industrial seal manufacturing faces persistent processing challenges. During compression or injection vulcanization, uncured rubber compound has strong adhesion tendency towards hot metallic mold surfaces. Without suitable internal release additive, finished rubber seals and complex rubber parts tend to stick firmly inside mold cavities. Demolding operation causes tearing, denting and surface damage to rubber components. Many conventional rubber release waxes suffer from severe staining and blooming issues after vulcanization, resulting in yellowish spots and discoloration on finished rubber surfaces, which directly disqualifies rubber sealing products. In addition, high‑viscosity rubber compound brings heavy load for internal mixing; frequent mold cleaning caused by stubborn mold deposits significantly cuts down overall production efficiency.
When homogeneously incorporated into rubber compound during internal mixing or open‑mill mixing at recommended dosage, modified PE wax powder gradually melts under processing temperature. The internal lubricating function reduces intermolecular friction inside the rubber stock, lowering mixing torque and improving the fluidity of rubber compound before vulcanization. When the filled rubber mold is heated for vulcanization, part of the molten wax migrates towards the rubber‑mold boundary and builds a continuous thin isolating film. This slippery interfacial layer prevents cured rubber from adhering to mold surfaces and enables smooth demolding of intricate rubber seals and molded rubber parts. Owing to special modification treatment, the wax maintains controlled migration rate after vulcanization, effectively avoiding surface staining, discoloration and heavy blooming on finished rubber components. It also suppresses the accumulation of rubber residues on mold surfaces during long‑run vulcanization production.
Strict dosage control is required for rubber formulation. Under‑dosage provides insufficient internal lubrication and mold‑release capacity, rubber sticking remains and mold fouling occurs quickly. Excessive loading will induce excessive wax migration, resulting in softening of rubber matrix and deterioration of physical properties such as tensile strength and compression‑set performance of finished rubber seals. Preliminary rubber compounding and vulcanization molding trials are strongly recommended before formal mass production. This modified PE release wax powder can be used together with vulcanizing agents, accelerators, anti‑oxidants and reinforcing fillers for various rubber systems.
For compounding operations, the fine modified‑PE release wax powder is added during rubber mixing stage on open mill or internal kneader together with rubber base polymer, reinforcing fillers and rubber chemicals.
Protect the powder product from moisture and foreign particulate contamination. High‑temperature warehouse storage may cause partial softening and mild caking of fine wax powder.
Major application fields: non‑staining internal mold‑release additive for molded industrial rubber seals and gaskets; processing lubricant for compression‑molded and injection‑vulcanized rubber components; anti‑fouling wax auxiliary for continuous rubber vulcanization production.
Store the product in tightly‑sealed original bags within 15‑30℃, keep dry and avoid direct sunlight.
