Silicone Rubber Internal Release Agent, Reduce Mold Cleaning Frequency for Silicone Compound Mixing

Silicone Rubber Internal Release Agent is a specialized functional additive designed for heat‑cured silicone rubber systems. It can be uniformly dispersed into silicone gum during compound mixing. Under high‑temperature vulcanization conditions, it moderately migrates towards the mold surface and forms an ultra‑thin lubricating isolating boundary layer. It facilitates smooth demolding of silicone rubber molded parts. It restricts the accumulation of cross‑linked silicone residues inside mold cav

Product Detail Page: This silicone rubber internal release agent is produced through modified siloxane synthesis, vacuum devolatilization and precision filtration. Each production batch is subjected to strict quality inspection, including viscosity, thermal stability, dispersion compatibility with silicone gum, vulcanization behaviour assessment, mold‑release efficiency and fouling‑resistance testing before shipment.

Heat‑cured silicone rubber vulcanization is performed at sustained elevated temperature. During repeated molding cycles, tiny fragments of cross‑linked silicone elastomer gradually adhere and build up stubborn fouling deposits on polished mold cavity surfaces. These accumulated residues generate cloudy patches, surface blemishes and matte marks on finished silicone rubber parts. Once heavy fouling appears, production must be interrupted for mold disassembly, polishing and manual cleaning operations. Frequent mold cleaning cuts effective machine running‑time and increases overall manufacturing costs. Many generic release additives suffer poor compatibility with silicone rubber matrix; they tend to separate out severely and cause heavy surface blooming, which impairs surface bonding, printing and coating performance of finished silicone articles. Some non‑silicone‑based lubricants may interfere with peroxide‑initiated cross‑linking reaction, changing curing rate and deteriorating mechanical properties of vulcanized silicone rubber.

When this internal release agent is metered and incorporated into silicone gum during internal mixing or two‑roll milling, the active additive disperses homogeneously within the uncured silicone compound. In the course of high‑temperature compression or injection vulcanization, a controlled fraction of the additive migrates toward the metal mold‑cavity interface and forms a continuous ultra‑thin lubricating isolating film. This interfacial layer reduces the adhesive force between hot vulcanizing silicone stock and mold steel, enabling clean demolding of complex‑shaped silicone rubber components. Matching siloxane‑based molecular structure guarantees good compatibility with silicone rubber matrix, which suppresses excessive blooming. Meanwhile, it inhibits the accumulation of cross‑linked silicone debris on mold surfaces during successive molding cycles, significantly extending the interval between mold‑cleaning operations.

Precise dosage control during silicone compound mixing is essential. Under‑dosage results in insufficient lubrication and releasing performance, leading to silicone sticking, tearing and accelerated mold fouling. Excessive addition will trigger undesirable surface blooming on finished silicone rubber parts, and may negatively influence hardness, tensile strength and subsequent surface treatment performance. Laboratory mixing trials and actual vulcanization molding evaluation on customer production molds are strongly recommended prior to mass production. This release agent is compatible with peroxide‑cured heat‑vulcanized silicone rubber compounds.

For processing operations, meter the internal release agent and feed it into the mixing process together with silicone gum, reinforcing silica filler and curing agent during silicone compound preparation.

Major application fields: internal lubricating and releasing additive for heat‑cured silicone rubber compression molding; anti‑fouling processing aid for silicone rubber compound mixing and vulcanization; functional auxiliary for continuous silicone molded‑parts manufacturing.

Store the product in tightly‑sealed original containers within 15‑28℃, maintain dry warehouse conditions, avoid direct sunlight and prolonged high‑temperature storage.
