EVA‑Modified PE Wax Release Agent CAS 24937‑78‑8 is low‑molecular‑weight ethylene‑vinyl‑acetate modified polyethylene wax. Compared with conventional non‑polar PE wax, the introduced polar acetate groups strengthen wetting affinity towards inorganic pigment and filler surfaces. It functions as pigment dispersant, internal‑external lubricant and mold release agent simultaneously. During color masterbatch compounding, it infiltrates pigment agglomerates, assists de‑agglomeration and stabilizes fin
Product Detail Page: EVA‑Modified PE Wax is produced via copolymerization modification of ethylene and vinyl‑acetate monomers, followed by melt refining, filtering, granulation or flaking. Each production batch is inspected for dropping point, melt viscosity, acid value and pigment‑dispersion testing, ensuring consistent lubricating and dispersing performance for color masterbatch and plastic compounding.
Color masterbatch manufacturing faces common dispersion difficulties. Solid pigment particles tend to form tight agglomerates during storage. Without suitable wetting dispersing wax, these pigment clusters remain intact after melt extrusion, resulting in visible color speckles, uneven color distribution and poor tinting strength inside masterbatch pellets and final plastic products. For PE, PP and PVC extrusion and injection molding, simple non‑polar polyethylene wax shows insufficient compatibility with polar pigment and PVC resin. Poor internal lubrication elevates melt viscosity and extruder torque. Inadequate external lubrication leads to resin sticking on screw, die and mold surfaces, generating plate‑out deposits which force frequent production shutdowns for equipment cleaning.
When blended with resin, pigment and fillers at recommended loading in masterbatch formulation, EVA‑Modified PE Wax melts early during high‑speed mixing and twin‑screw extrusion. Its polar segments wet the pigment particle surfaces, weaken inter‑particle attraction, help break up pigment agglomerates and lock the dispersed pigment state to prevent re‑aggregation. In thermoplastic processing of PE, PP and PVC, this wax exerts internal lubricating effect to reduce intermolecular friction within polymer melt. Meanwhile a portion of wax gradually migrates to the metal‑melt interface, building a low‑friction slippery boundary film. This boundary layer decreases resin‑metal adhesion, lowers running torque, restricts plate‑out accumulation on die lips and mold cavities, improves surface gloss of extruded or injection‑molded plastic parts and brings auxiliary mold‑release performance.
Careful dosage control is required for formulation. Insufficient addition cannot provide effective pigment wetting and lubrication, causing speckled color and high processing torque. Excessive dosage will impair mechanical properties of final plastic products, induce surface blooming and reduce heat‑distortion resistance. Pre‑production compounding trials are strongly suggested before formal mass manufacturing. This modified wax can be combined with thermal stabilizers, antioxidants and mineral fillers within PE, PP and PVC systems.
For compounding operations, add granular or flaked EVA‑modified PE wax together with base resin, pigment and fillers during high‑speed premixing before twin‑screw extrusion pelletizing for masterbatch or plastic compound.
Keep the product sealed and avoid moisture and foreign particulate contamination. Long‑term high‑temperature storage will slowly change melt viscosity and degrade dispersing performance.
Major application fields: pigment dispersing lubricant for PE, PP, PVC color masterbatch; internal‑external releasing processing wax for polyolefin extrusion products; anti‑plate‑out auxiliary for rigid PVC compounding.
Store the product in tightly‑sealed original bags within 15‑30℃, maintain dry storage and avoid direct sunlight.
