Micronized Ink Dispersion Wax Abrasion Resistant Slip Dispersing Additive (CERAFLOUR 988 Equivalent)

Micronized Ink Dispersion Wax is a fine‑particle micronized wax serving as direct alternative to CERAFLOUR 988. Incorporated into water‑based and solvent‑based printing ink formulations, this wax delivers excellent slip and rub‑resistance performance for dried ink films. Meanwhile, it assists pigment dispersion during grinding, reducing tendency for pigment agglomeration in flexographic, gravure and offset printing inks.

Product Overview Micronized Ink Dispersion Wax (CERAFLOUR 988 Equivalent) is functional fine micronized wax powder designed for printing ink systems. During ink grinding and compounding, the wax powder can be homogeneously dispersed within the ink vehicle. After printing and drying, micro‑wax particles migrate toward the surface of cured ink film. It forms micro‑slip texture on the ink surface to boost rub‑resistance and anti‑scratch performance. Additionally, the wax helps to separate pigment particles and suppress pigment re‑agglomeration. It is suitable for gravure, flexo and offset inks for packaging, label and publication printing in both solvent‑borne and water‑borne ink production.

Key Features ‑ Improves rub‑resistance and scratch‑resistance of dried printed ink film ‑ Provides consistent surface‑slip property for finished printed surfaces ‑ Supports pigment dispersion and minimizes pigment re‑agglomeration within ink system ‑ Good thermal stability during ink grinding and high‑speed printing operations ‑ Direct functional equivalent grade for CERAFLOUR 988 micronized ink wax additive

Typical Technical Properties ‑ Chemical Type: Synthetic micronized polyolefin wax powder ‑ Appearance: Fine off‑white free‑flowing powder ‑ Particle Size: Refer to TDS ‑ Melting Range: Refer to TDS ‑ Bulk Density: Refer to TDS

Applications ‑ Packaging printing ink: Slip and abrasion‑resistant additive for gravure and flexo packaging inks ‑ Label printing: Surface‑modifying wax for self‑adhesive label inks ‑ Publication offset ink: Anti‑rubbing additive for sheet‑fed offset printing inks ‑ Ink compounding plant: Raw micronized wax for custom water‑based and solvent‑based ink formulations

Processing Recommendation Add the micronized wax powder at suitable stage during the ink grinding and dispersion process. Adjust the dosage according to targeted slip and abrasion‑resistance requirements. Complete lab formulation testing prior to formal mass ink production. Avoid excessive shearing that may induce unwanted wax melting.

Storage & Handling Store in cool, dry, dust‑free warehouse away from heat sources. Reseal packaging tightly after opening to prevent moisture absorption. Wear protective dust mask and gloves when handling fine wax powder.
