Montan E Wax Release Agent CAS 8002‑53‑7 is refined partially saponified montan ester wax derived from lignite‑based crude montan wax. After targeted saponification and ester modification, it combines moderate polar groups with long aliphatic hydrocarbon chains. This special molecular structure delivers coordinated internal and external lubricating and releasing functions. Compared with conventional synthetic waxes, it exhibits outstanding thermal stability, low volatility and distinctly low mig
Product Detail Page: Montan E Wax is manufactured by purification of raw lignite montan wax, followed by controlled partial saponification and esterification treatment. Subsequent filtration, de‑odorization, cooling and flaking or milling procedures yield final flake or powdered products. Each production batch is strictly tested for dropping point, acid value, saponification value, thermal stability and migration tendency, to guarantee consistent lubricating and releasing performance for rigid‑PVC and engineering‑plastic compounding.
Rigid PVC and engineering‑plastic manufacturing imposes strict requirements on processing lubricants. Many ordinary ester‑based or hydrocarbon‑type waxes tend to migrate gradually from interior toward plastic surfaces after molding, resulting in undesirable blooming. The blooming layer impairs surface gloss, weakens printing and bonding performance of finished plastic parts. In calendaring and continuous extrusion of rigid PVC, insufficient external lubrication causes molten resin to adhere to calendar rolls and die lips. Degraded polymer residues continuously build up plate‑out deposits, which trigger surface streaks and dark specks on PVC products and force frequent machine shutdown for cleaning. For engineering‑plastic injection molding, inadequate release performance makes complex thin‑wall molded components difficult to eject, leading to part cracking and deformation.
When homogeneously blended into polymer formulations at the recommended dosage range, Montan E Wax disperses uniformly throughout the resin matrix. Under the combined effect of processing heat and mechanical shear, the internal‑lubricating fraction reduces intermolecular friction within molten polymer, improving melt flow behavior and lowering processing torque. Meanwhile, a small proportion of wax migrates towards the interface between hot polymer melt and metallic surfaces of calendar rolls, extruder dies and injection molds, building a durable low‑friction boundary film. This boundary layer effectively reduces resin‑metal adhesion, facilitates demolding of molded parts and inhibits plate‑out accumulation on tooling surfaces. Benefiting from its partially saponified long‑chain ester molecular structure, migration speed inside the solidified plastic is greatly restrained. It delivers persistent high‑gloss surfaces and minimizes the risk of surface blooming for finished PVC and engineering‑plastic articles.
Precise dosage control is critical for formulation development. Under‑dosage cannot achieve sufficient internal‑external lubrication and releasing effect, resulting in high processing torque, plate‑out defects and poor surface gloss. Excessive addition will still induce partial migration and blooming, and may negatively influence mechanical properties of finished plastic components. Preliminary laboratory compounding and processing trials are strongly recommended prior to mass‑scale production. Montan E Wax can be used synergistically with thermal stabilizers, antioxidants and mineral or glass‑fiber fillers within PVC and engineering‑plastic systems.
For compounding operations, flaked or powdered Montan E Wax is added during high‑speed premixing with base resin, stabilizers and fillers before calendaring, extrusion pelletizing or direct injection molding.
Protect the product against moisture and foreign particulate contamination. Long‑term storage under elevated ambient temperature may lead to softening and mild caking of wax flakes or powder.
Major application fields: high‑gloss low‑migration lubricating release processing aid for rigid‑PVC calendared sheets and extruded profiles; multifunctional lubricant for glass‑fiber‑filled PA and PBT injection‑molded engineering‑plastic parts; anti‑blooming processing auxiliary for high‑quality transparent and opaque rigid plastic products.
Store the product in tightly‑sealed original bags within 15‑30℃, maintain dry storage and avoid direct sunlight.
