Montan Polyester Wax Lubricant CAS 8002-53-7, Internal External Release for PET PBT PVC Rigid Calendering

Montan Polyester Wax Lubricant CAS 8002‑53‑7 is a refined polyester‑type montan wax derived from lignite crude montan wax via purification and polyester‑type esterification modification. Owing to its balanced polar‑non‑polar molecular structure, it delivers coordinated internal‑external lubricating and releasing functions. During rigid PVC calendering operations, it reduces sticking between molten PVC and hot calendar rollers, suppresses plate‑out and improves sheet surface finish. For PET and P

Product Detail Page: Montan Polyester Wax is produced from raw lignite montan wax through multi‑stage purification, controlled polyester‑esterification reaction, filtration, cooling, flaking and fine pulverization. Each production batch is subjected to strict laboratory inspection for dropping point, acid value, saponification value, thermal weight‑loss and practical processing performance, to guarantee stable lubricating and releasing performance for rigid‑PVC calendaring and polyester engineering‑plastic compounding.

Rigid PVC calendering is a demanding continuous thermal‑processing procedure. Molten PVC is repeatedly squeezed and sheared between high‑temperature calendar rollers. Without properly matched high‑thermal‑stable lubricant, molten resin tends to adhere onto roller surfaces. Gradual accumulation of degraded resin residues forms stubborn plate‑out deposits, which create surface streaks, dark spots and surface defects on calendered rigid‑PVC sheets. Frequent machine‑stop cleaning is required, reducing overall production efficiency. For PET and PBT engineering plastics, especially glass‑fiber‑reinforced grades, high processing temperatures will cause ordinary low‑molecular‑weight lubricants to volatilize heavily, generating smoke inside the barrel. Insufficient internal lubrication results in high melt viscosity and sharp rising extrusion torque; inadequate releasing performance leads to sticking inside injection molds, causing cracking and deformation of molded polyester components.

When uniformly premixed within polymer formulations at recommended dosage, montan polyester wax disperses evenly throughout the resin matrix. Under heat and mechanical shear during plasticization, the internal‑lubricating segment reduces intermolecular friction of molten polymer, improves melt flow behavior and moderates processing torque. Meanwhile, a fraction of wax gradually migrates toward the metal‑melt contact interface, forming a thin, heat‑resistant slippery boundary film. For rigid‑PVC calendering, this boundary film effectively reduces adhesion between hot PVC melt and calendar rollers, restrains plate‑out buildup and delivers smooth, glossy sheet surfaces during continuous rolling production. For PET and PBT injection‑molding, the interfacial lubricating layer reduces resin‑metal adhesion on mold cavity surfaces, facilitating smooth ejection of molded engineering‑plastic parts. Its excellent thermal stability suppresses thermal decomposition and volatile fume generation even under high polyester‑processing temperatures.

Precise dosage control is essential for formulation design. Under‑dosage cannot provide sufficient internal‑external lubrication and releasing capacity; plate‑out defects occur on PVC calendered sheets, while PET‑PBT molded parts suffer mold‑sticking problems. Excessive loading will trigger undesirable surface blooming and exert negative influences on the mechanical properties of finished plastic articles. Laboratory compounding and processing trials are strongly recommended before mass‑scale production. This montan polyester wax can work synergistically with PVC thermal stabilizers, antioxidants, mineral fillers and glass‑fiber reinforcements in engineering‑plastic systems.

For compounding operations, flaked or powdered montan polyester wax is added during high‑speed premixing with base resin, stabilizers and fillers prior to rigid‑PVC calendering, extrusion pelletizing or direct injection‑molding of PET and PBT compounds.

Keep the product sealed to avoid moisture and foreign particulate contamination. Long‑term high‑temperature storage may cause softening and mild caking of wax flakes and powder.

Major application fields: internal‑external lubricant and anti‑plate‑out processing aid for rigid PVC calendered sheets; mold‑release lubricant for unfilled and glass‑fiber‑reinforced PET and PBT injection‑molded components; multifunctional montan‑based wax auxiliary for continuous extrusion compounding of engineering‑plastic formulations.

Store the product in tightly‑sealed original bags within 15‑30℃, maintain dry storage and avoid direct sunlight.
