Oxidized HDPE Homopolymer Wax is polar modified low‑molecular‑weight high‑density polyethylene homopolymer wax developed as direct drop‑in replacement for A‑C 330. Controlled carboxyl functional groups bring moderate polarity for good compatibility with diverse aqueous resin binders. During film‑formation of water‑borne coatings and varnishes, the wax migrates to the surface to improve scratch‑resistance and anti‑mar property. It also delivers smooth slip effect for surface polish and textile fi
Oxidized HDPE Homopolymer Wax (CAS 68441‑17‑8, A‑C 330 Equivalent) is low‑molecular‑weight oxidized HDPE homopolymer wax. Moderate oxidation level introduces suitable polar groups onto the wax molecular chain, which enhances wetting capacity with aqueous resin systems. When incorporated into waterborne coatings and clear varnishes, wax particles gradually migrate to the top surface while water evaporates during curing, forming a thin protective wax layer. This surface layer effectively upgrades slip, scratch‑resistance and anti‑mar performance of dry films. In surface polish systems, it improves surface smoothness and durability. For textile finishing, it imparts a soft‑slip hand‑feel to fabric surfaces. It serves as a cost‑effective imported alternative to A‑C 330 for coating, polish and textile chemical manufacturers.
Typical dosage is 0.4‑2.5 % by total formulation weight for waterborne coatings and varnishes. For polish and textile finishing slurry, recommended loading ranges from 1.2‑4.0 %. High‑speed dispersion is necessary to obtain homogeneous wax distribution within aqueous systems. Laboratory formulation trials prior to mass production are strongly suggested to evaluate gloss, slip performance and storage stability.
Store sealed sacks inside dry and well‑ventilated warehouse. Keep away from direct sunlight and high‑temperature heat sources. Avoid moisture ingress. Reseal sacks promptly after partial material discharge.
This oxidized HDPE homopolymer wax is intended exclusively for industrial manufacturing of waterborne coatings, polishes and textile chemicals, not for food or cosmetic applications. Wear protective gloves and safety goggles during material handling. Please refer to the corresponding MSDS for complete safety operation instructions.
