TPU Release Powder Erucamide-Modified CAS 112-84-5, No Impact on TPU Transparency & Elasticity Injection Extrusion

TPU Release Powder Erucamide‑Modified CAS 112‑84‑5 is a surface‑modified erucamide processing powder designed for thermoplastic polyurethane. After homogeneous dispersion inside TPU resin matrix during compounding, it delivers moderate internal slip and mold‑releasing effect in injection‑molding and extrusion processes. The tailored modification treatment suppresses excessive surface blooming. It will not impair the inherent transparency, elongation and elastic recovery of finished TPU products.

Product Detail Page: This erucamide‑modified TPU release powder is produced via physical surface modification and homogenization of refined erucamide raw material, followed by pulverization and sieve classification. Each production batch is inspected for melting point, particle‑size distribution, thermal stability, slip performance, blooming tendency, transparency influence and dispersion behaviour before shipment.

Thermoplastic polyurethane injection and extrusion processing presents specific technical difficulties for slip and release additives. Conventional unmodified erucamide tends to migrate rapidly and heavily toward the product surface. Severe blooming forms a hazy white film on transparent TPU parts, which destroys optical clarity. Some other fatty‑amide‑based processing aids negatively interfere with hydrogen‑bonding within TPU molecular chains, reducing elongation, elastic recovery and abrasion‑resistance of finished flexible components. If the internal release additive shows poor dispersion inside TPU melt, agglomerated particles create surface specks, streaks and visible defects on extruded sheets, films and injection‑molded TPU parts. During continuous injection molding, accumulated residual deposits on mold cavities force frequent mold cleaning, lower equipment utilization and reduce workshop production output.

When this erucamide‑modified release powder is accurately metered and blended with TPU pellets during compounding or dry‑blending, fine modified particles disperse evenly within the polyurethane matrix. Under the shear and heat of injection or extrusion processing, the additive develops controlled internal lubrication to lower melt viscosity, improving melt flow behaviour. At the mold cavity interface during injection molding, a thin transient slip boundary layer is formed to facilitate smooth demolding. Thanks to targeted surface modification, the migration speed of erucamide is restrained effectively. Excessive surface blooming is inhibited, so the original high transparency of TPU is well preserved. Meanwhile, the hydrogen‑bond network of polyurethane is not disrupted, maintaining the critical elasticity, elongation and elastic‑recovery performance of finished TPU products. The additive also slows the gradual build‑up of thermal decomposition residues inside mold cavities during long‑term continuous injection cycles.

Precise dosage control during compounding or dry blending is essential. Under‑dosage results in insufficient internal slip and mold‑release performance; TPU melt exhibits higher viscosity, demolding becomes difficult and molding cycle time cannot be shortened. Excessive loading will trigger partial blooming, slightly reduce surface adhesion of TPU and may bring minor negative influence on surface printing and hot‑bonding performance. It is strongly recommended to perform laboratory compounding and actual molding trials before formal mass‑scale production. This erucamide‑modified release powder is compatible with various polyester‑based and polyether‑based TPU grades.

For processing operations, meter the modified release powder and perform uniform dry‑blending with TPU pellets, or feed together into twin‑screw extruder during TPU compounding.

Major application fields: internal slip and release processing aid for transparent TPU injection‑molded flexible parts; lubricant additive for TPU sheet, film and profile extrusion; anti‑fouling functional modifier for thermoplastic polyurethane compound.

Store the product in tightly‑sealed original bags within 15‑25℃, maintain dry warehouse conditions, avoid high‑temperature storage and heavy compression to prevent caking.
