Product Overview

This 5μm anti-glare light diffuser is a surface-treated PMMA spherical micro-powder, specially developed for advertising light boxes and sign light panels. It solves common pain points of ordinary diffusers in light box production: obvious LED light spots, blurry ad images, yellowing after outdoor use. With lower cost than silicone diffusers, it is the first choice for mass production of commercial advertising light boxes and signs.

The 5μm particle size is specially designed for thin light box panels and coatings, which can scatter LED light to eliminate lamp spots and glare, and will not cause blurry ad images due to too large particle size, perfectly balancing anti-glare effect and image clarity.

Typical Properties

The product appears as white spherical micro-powder, D50 particle size 5μm±0.2μm, refractive index 1.49, whiteness over 97, UV resistance grade 4-5, passes outdoor weather resistance test, meets environmental protection requirements for advertising materials.

Recommended Applications

It is specially used for advertising light box products, including acrylic blister light boxes, soft film fabric light boxes, storefront sign light boxes, UV printing anti-glare coating, light box film diffusion layer, subway/mall guide sign light boxes. It is not recommended for thick-wall diffuser plates, light guide plates and other industrial lighting scenarios due to different particle size requirements.

Usage Guidelines

For acrylic/PC panel extrusion, recommended addition rate is 0.4%-0.8%: add 0.6%-0.8% for thin light boxes under 5cm, add 0.4%-0.6% for thick light boxes over 5cm. It can be directly mixed with raw materials for extrusion.

For soft film/coating application, recommended addition rate is 3%-6%, disperse at high speed after adding into glue, no sand grinding required to avoid damaging microsphere structure.

Small trial is recommended to confirm the best addition amount before mass production, we provide free samples for test and technical guidance.

Packaging & Support

The product is packed in 20kg waterproof kraft paper drum with PE inner liner, 1kg aluminum foil small package is available for sample testing. Store in cool and dry place, shelf life is 2 years.
