High Haze Light Diffusing Agent for LED Diffuser Plates
Product Overview
This high-haze light diffusing agent is a compounded spherical micro-powder specially developed for PS/PC extruded LED diffuser plates. It solves the common contradiction of ordinary diffusers: 'high haze leads to low light transmittance, high transmittance leads to insufficient haze and obvious lamp shadow', with 35% lower cost than silicone diffusers, it is the first choice for mass production of high-haze diffuser plates for panel lights and light boxes.
Core Advantages
- Balanced high haze & high transmittanceWith special compounded particle size gradation for diffuser plates, haze can reach over 95% while maintaining light transmittance over 85% after adding. Compared with ordinary single-particle-size diffusers, haze is 3%-5% higher and transmittance is 2%-3% higher at the same addition amount, perfectly balancing the two core indicators of diffuser plates.
- Full coverage of lamp shadowThe multi-level particle size structure makes light reflect multiple times inside the plate, completely covering LED beads and lamp shadows, with uniform light output without bright spots and dark areas, meeting the UGR<19 anti-glare standard for indoor panel lights.
- Stable extrusion without yellowingHeat resistance up to 280℃, fully adapts to PS/PC extrusion temperature of 180-260℃, no decomposition, no yellowing, no black spots during long-time continuous extrusion, effectively improving mass production yield. It passes 1500h UV aging test, no obvious yellowing after 5 years of indoor use.
- Good dispersion without crystal pointsSpecial extrusion-oriented surface treatment ensures good compatibility with PS and PC melt. It will not agglomerate or cause crystal points, white spots and flow marks even when added directly as powder for extrusion, no need to make high-concentration masterbatch specially, reducing production cost.
- Significant cost advantageThe cost is about 35% lower than silicone light diffuser with same haze effect, only 0.6%-1.2% addition can achieve 95% haze, greatly reducing raw material cost for diffuser plate manufacturers.
Typical Properties
The product appears as white compounded spherical powder, D50 particle size gradation 4-6μm, compound refractive index 1.49-1.52, whiteness over 97, volatile matter below 0.3%, no coarse particles over 20μm. It passes RoHS, REACH and UV aging tests, meeting environmental protection requirements for indoor lighting products.
Recommended Applications
It is specially used for extruded light diffuser plates, including PS/PC LED panel light diffuser plates, light box diffuser plates, flat lamp diffusers, advertising light box diffusion sheets, ceiling lamp diffuser plates. It is not recommended for thin strip covers, light guide plates and optical films due to different particle size requirements.
Usage Guidelines
For diffuser plate extrusion, the recommended addition amount is 0.6%-1.2%: add 0.6%-0.8% for ordinary haze (about 90%), add 0.8%-1.2% for high haze (over 95%). It can be directly mixed with PS/PC raw materials evenly for extrusion, or made into 15% concentration diffusion masterbatch for better dispersion effect.
The extrusion temperature can be set according to conventional PS/PC diffuser plate parameters without special adjustment. It is recommended to dry raw materials for 4 hours before extrusion to avoid water marks and bubbles. We can recommend suitable addition amount according to customers' required haze and transmittance, and provide free samples for trial extrusion.
Packaging & Support
The product is packed in 20kg waterproof kraft paper drum with PE inner liner, and 1kg aluminum foil bag small package is available for sample testing. Store in a cool and dry place to avoid moisture, shelf life is 2 years.
Conventional high-haze models are in stock all year round, bulk order delivery within 2 working days. We provide TDS/MSDS/COA reports, support customized compound diffusers with different haze and transmittance, and can cooperate with customers to debug extrusion process.
