Anti-Dazzle Light Diffuser for LED Panel Lights & Tubes
Product Overview
This lighting-grade anti-dazzle light diffuser is a compounded spherical micro-powder specially developed for LED panel lights and tubes. It solves common pain points of ordinary diffusers in commercial lighting: high UGR value, harsh glare, bright edges, yellowing during processing. It meets UGR<19 eye protection standard, suitable for office, education and commercial lighting, with 25% lower cost than silicone diffusers, ideal for mass production of eye-friendly LED lamps.
Core Advantages
- Professional anti-glare UGR<19With compounded particle size structure, light forms multiple diffuse reflection inside the cover, unified glare rating (UGR) is below 19, meeting national standards for classroom and office lighting, no harsh glare, no ghosting, eye-friendly for long-time use.
- Balanced high haze & high transmittanceHaze reaches over 92% while light transmittance remains over 88%, 3% higher transmittance than ordinary diffusers at same haze, bringing higher lamp brightness and better energy efficiency.
- No bright edge, no dark areaUniform particle size gradation ensures consistent light diffusion, solving common problems of panel light bright edges and uneven light and dark on tube surface, light spot uniformity of whole lamp is over 0.9.
- Stable processing without yellowingHeat resistance up to 280℃, adapts to PC/PS/PMMA cover extrusion and injection temperature, no decomposition, no yellowing, no black spots during long-time processing, no obvious yellowing after 5 years of indoor use.
- Easy dispersion, simple processingLipophilic surface treatment ensures good compatibility with PC/PS/PMMA resin, no agglomeration, no crystal points, no flow marks even when added directly as powder, no need to make high-concentration masterbatch, simplifying production process.
Typical Properties
The product appears as white compounded spherical powder, D50 particle size gradation 3-5μm, compound refractive index 1.49-1.53, whiteness over 97, volatile matter below 0.3%, UGR value <19. It passes RoHS, REACH and no blue light hazard tests, meeting national lighting safety standards.
Recommended Applications
It is specially used for light diffusion covers/plates of LED panel lights (direct-lit/edge-lit), LED T8/T5 tubes, classroom eye-protection lamps, office flat panel lights, commercial linear strip lights. It is not recommended for advertising light boxes, light guide plates and other scenarios due to different particle size requirements.
Usage Guidelines
For panel light diffuser plate/cover extrusion, recommended addition rate is 0.5%-1.0%; for tube cover extrusion, recommended addition rate is 0.4%-0.8%. Adjust according to product thickness and anti-glare requirements: add less for thick parts, add more for thin parts. It can be directly mixed with raw materials for extrusion, or added in masterbatch form for better dispersion.
Processing temperature can be set according to conventional PC/PS/PMMA parameters, raw material drying for 4 hours before processing is recommended to avoid water marks. We provide free samples, and can recommend suitable addition rate according to customers' whole lamp UGR requirements.
Packaging & Support
The product is packed in 20kg waterproof kraft paper drum with PE inner liner, 1kg aluminum foil small package is available for sample testing. Store in cool and dry place, shelf life is 2 years. Conventional models are in stock all year round, delivery within 2 working days. We provide TDS/COA documents, and can cooperate with customers to debug whole lamp optical performance.
