When applied onto high‑voltage cable joints, ignition coil connectors and spark plug boot interfaces within ignition systems, the grease fills tiny microscopic gaps between mating surfaces. It repels humid air, condensation and surface water, blocking moisture penetration into contact interfaces. This effective moisture sealing greatly reduces the risk of intermittent arcing, flash‑over and partial discharge that frequently occurs under damp or rainy operating conditions.
