Product Introduction
High Refractive Index Polystyrene Light Diffuser Powder is a professional optical additive developed for flat panel lighting. With high refractive index characteristics, spherical polystyrene particles can build highly efficient light scattering structure inside PS resin. It breaks directional light beams, homogenizes light transmission, removes glare and bright spots, and provides stable soft light output to meet the lighting requirements of flat panel lamps.
Important reminder: The refractive index of polystyrene particles is close to PMMA resin. Effective light diffusion cannot be achieved when mixed into PMMA substrate. This product has narrow particle size distribution and excellent dispersibility. It adapts to extrusion and injection molding processes with good thermal stability, and effectively reduces surface defects such as fish eyes and streaks on lighting panels. It serves as stable optical raw material for mass production of flat panel lighting.
Core Advantages
High refractive index brings powerful light scattering capability. Ideal haze effect can be achieved at relatively low addition dosage, helping manufacturers save raw material costs.
Excellent compatibility with PS resin matrix. Microspheres disperse uniformly during processing, avoiding agglomeration and ensuring consistent optical performance of finished products.
Good thermal resistance suitable for continuous plastic processing. It will not decompose or yellow easily under normal molding temperature, lowering product reject rate.
Controllable optical performance. Haze and light transmittance remain stable in batch production, maintaining uniform lighting appearance of flat panels.
Application Scope
This High Refractive Index Polystyrene Light Diffuser Powder is mainly used for flat panel lighting products, including PS light diffusion sheets, lighting panel housings and other transparent PS optical components. Widely applied in indoor flat lamps, ceiling lighting panels, advertising light plates and other fields. This product is only suitable for PS system and cannot be used in PMMA acrylic materials.
Usage Guidance
Adjust appropriate addition dosage according to target haze and transmittance requirements of finished lighting panels. Mix the polystyrene light diffuser powder evenly with PS pellets before feeding. Follow standard processing temperature range of base resin. Avoid long-time high-temperature retention of mixed materials to guarantee full dispersion of particles and stable optical performance.
Packaging and Storage
The product adopts sealed moisture-proof packaging to prevent particle moisture absorption and agglomeration. Store in dry, cool and ventilated environment, away from direct sunlight, high temperature and humid corrosive atmosphere. Tightly seal the package after each use. Under qualified storage conditions, the product can maintain stable physical and optical properties within shelf life.
