Optical Grade PMMA Light Diffuser
Product Overview
This optical grade PMMA light diffuser is a cross-linked polymethyl methacrylate spherical micro-powder, specially developed for precision optical scenarios such as displays and backlight modules. Produced and packaged in a Class 10,000 clean workshop, it is different from ordinary injection-molded light diffusers, with core advantages of ultra-low impurity content and precision index tolerance, solving common defects of ordinary diffusers in optical products such as crystal points, uneven haze and bright spots.
*Important Note: This product is not recommended for ordinary PC/PS injection lampshades and low-requirement diffusion plates (unnecessary cost increase), and cannot be used for pure PMMA (acrylic) substrate as the refractive index matches PMMA and cannot produce effective light diffusion.

Typical Performance
The product appears as pure white spherical powder without visible impurities, conventional particle size covers 1.5μm/2μm/3μm/5μm and can be customized, refractive index 1.49±0.01, whiteness over 98, volatile matter below 0.2%, zero coarse particles over 10μm. It passes RoHS, REACH and halogen-free tests, meeting the environmental protection requirements of export display products.
Recommended Applications
It is specially used for high-end precision optical scenarios, including LED display/TV light guide plates, backlight module diffusion films, display anti-glare (AG) films, automotive display light diffusion parts, high-end optical lens uniform light parts. It is not recommended for ordinary injection lampshades, ordinary diffusion plates and other scenarios with low impurity requirements due to high cost.
Usage Guidelines
For light guide plate modification, select 2-3μm particle size, recommended addition rate is 0.2%-0.8%. It is recommended to add in the form of 10% concentration masterbatch to ensure uniform dispersion without crystal points. The processing temperature is set according to the conventional PC light guide plate temperature of 280-300℃, and the barrel should be fully cleaned before production to avoid impurity mixing.
For optical coating/diffusion film, select 1.5-2μm small particle size, recommended addition rate is 3%-8%. After adding into the glue, disperse at high speed, no sand grinding is required to avoid damaging the microsphere structure. After dispersion, filter with 1μm filter element before coating to ensure no crystal points.

Packaging & Support
The product is packed in anti-static vacuum aluminum foil bags with anti-static cartons outside, 1kg/bag, 10kg/carton, packaged in a 1,000-class clean workshop to avoid impurity introduction during transportation and storage. Store in a constant temperature and humidity clean environment, sealed storage shelf life is 2 years.
