Optical Silicone Light Diffuser for LED Light Diffuser Film
Product Overview
This optical grade silicone light diffuser is a micron-sized cross-linked polysiloxane spherical micro-powder, specially developed for precision coating of LED light diffusion films and optical anti-glare coatings. Different from ordinary injection-molded light diffusers, it is produced under 10,000-class clean workshop conditions with stricter particle size control and impurity removal processes, solving common pain points of ordinary diffusers in film applications such as crystal points, white spots, uneven haze, and poor dispersion in coating systems. It is the core optical additive for high-end LED diffusion films and AG optical coatings.
Core Advantages
- Optical Grade Particle Size ControlThe product adopts precise narrow particle size distribution control, with D50 particle size stabilized at 1.5μm, and strictly controls that there are no coarse particles over 5μm, fundamentally avoiding crystal points, white spots, coating scratches and other appearance defects in the coating process, fully adapting to high-precision micro-coating processes for thin films.
- Excellent Coating System CompatibilityAfter special organic surface modification, it has good wettability and dispersibility in common film coating systems including acrylic adhesive, PU adhesive, silicone pressure-sensitive adhesive, water-based coating and UV curing glue. It does not agglomerate or settle after mixing with glue, has good storage stability, and will not cause coating appearance defects.
- Precision Uniform Optical PerformanceWith a refractive index of 1.43 optimized for optical films, it balances high light transmittance and high haze in the coating with light loss below 4%. The haze uniformity tolerance is controlled within ±2%, which can completely eliminate bright spots and dark areas of the backlight module, presenting soft and uniform light output without granular sensation.
- Long-term Stable Weather ResistanceThe three-dimensional cross-linked Si-O-Si structure gives it excellent UV resistance, high temperature and humidity resistance. The film will not yellow, precipitate or powder after long-term use, avoiding problems such as coating fogging and light transmittance drop during the service life of LED lamps.
- Extremely Strict Batch ConsistencyFully automatic closed production line and multi-link impurity filtration process ensure that the particle size distribution, whiteness and impurity content of each batch are stable, with minimal batch-to-batch difference, avoiding haze difference and color difference between large film rolls, and reducing defective rate in coating production.
Typical Performance
The product appears as high-purity white ultra-fine spherical powder without obvious agglomeration, with whiteness over 96, solid content over 99%, volatile matter below 0.5% after 2 hours at 105℃, and no mechanical impurities visible to the naked eye. The refractive index is 1.43 at 25℃, D50 particle size is 1.5μm, and the maximum particle size is controlled below 5μm. All indicators meet optical film grade requirements, comply with EU RoHS and REACH environmental protection standards, and can be used for export-oriented optical and display products.
Recommended Applications
It is specially suitable for optical coating scenarios requiring uniform light diffusion, including but not limited to LED backlight module diffusion film, LED panel light diffuser, display anti-glare film, touch screen AG coating, light diffusion hard coating, soft light box diffusion film, and ultra-thin injection molded optical parts with high appearance requirements.
Usage Guidelines
For light diffusion coating application, the recommended addition amount is 3%-8%, which can be adjusted according to the target haze and light transmittance requirements. The product can be directly added to the coating glue and dispersed at high speed, no need for sand grinding, to avoid damaging the spherical structure of microspheres and affecting the light diffusion effect. It is suitable for solvent-based, water-based, UV curing and other coating systems. After dispersion, it is recommended to filter before coating to further reduce the risk of impurities. We provide free samples for testing coating appearance and optical performance, and can provide formula adjustment technical support during the trial period.
Packaging & Support
The product is packed in anti-static clean aluminum foil bags and cartons, with 1kg/bag and 10kg/carton options, to avoid impurity pollution during transportation, and is suitable for direct use in 1,000/10,000 class clean workshops. Store in a cool, dry and clean environment, seal in time after opening, with a shelf life of 24 months.
We keep bulk stock all year round, and bulk order lead time is within 3 working days. We can provide full set of technical documents including TDS, MSDS and COA, and support customized optical microsphere products with different particle sizes to meet differentiated haze and light transmittance requirements.
