Petroleum Microcrystalline Wax is high‑quality refined microcrystalline wax developed as direct drop‑in replacement for HYWAX 1365. With suitable crystal size and migration speed, the wax gradually blooms to the outer rubber surface during vulcanization and service. It builds a continuous thin protective film that shields rubber articles from ozone attack and reduces surface cracking under outdoor static and dynamic conditions. Besides rubber anti‑ozone application, this microcrystalline wax can
Petroleum Microcrystalline Wax (CAS 63231‑60‑7, HYWAX 1365 Equivalent) is fully refined petroleum‑derived microcrystalline wax produced by solvent dewaxing and deep de‑oiling. Controlled crystal structure delivers moderate migration velocity inside rubber compound. After vulcanization, wax slowly exudes toward rubber surface and forms a dense continuous wax barrier layer. This surface film effectively resists ozone erosion, suppresses ozone‑induced surface cracking for outdoor rubber goods. Meanwhile, the product can be used as modifying wax for different packaging materials to enhance water‑repellent performance and surface rigidity. It represents a cost‑effective imported substitute for HYWAX 1365 for rubber compounders and packaging material manufacturers.
For rubber anti‑ozone compounding, typical dosage ranges 1.2‑4.0 % calculated on total rubber formulation. For packaging‑material systems, suggested addition is 4‑13 %. Feed the wax together with elastomer, carbon black and other rubber chemicals during internal mixing. Excessive dosage may cause premature blooming and sticky rubber surface. Pre‑production laboratory mixing and ozone‑aging testing are strongly recommended prior to mass manufacturing.
Store sealed sacks in dry, well‑ventilated warehouse. Keep away from direct sunlight and high‑temperature heat sources. Avoid partial melting and caking. Reseal sacks promptly after partial discharging.
This petroleum microcrystalline wax is for industrial manufacturing only, not for food or cosmetic applications. Wear protective gloves and safety goggles during material handling. Please refer to the corresponding MSDS for complete safety operation instructions.
