Petroleum Microcrystalline Wax (CAS 63231‑60‑7, HYWAX 2528 Equivalent) is fully‑refined petroleum‑derived microcrystalline wax obtained by vacuum distillation and solvent de‑oiling treatment. Its compact fine crystalline network provides outstanding water and moisture barrier performance. When used for metal rust‑preventive compounds, it creates a continuous hydrophobic wax coating that isolates steel surfaces from humidity, salt mist and atmospheric corrosion. In hot‑melt adhesive formulations, the wax modulates melt viscosity, optimizes solidification behaviour and reinforces internal cohesion of the adhesive matrix. For industrial candle manufacturing, it increases finished candle hardness, reduces surface sweating and improves shape stability during storage. This product acts as a cost‑effective imported substitute for HYWAX 2528 for rust‑proof compound, hot‑melt adhesive and candle manufacturers.
For rust‑preventive wax‑based compounds, typical dosage ranges 12‑35 % of total formulation weight. For hot‑melt adhesive, suggested loading is 6‑17 %. For candle blending, addition is 3‑14 %. Complete melting and homogeneous stirring at controlled high temperature is required. It is strongly recommended to run laboratory trials before mass‑scale production to evaluate barrier performance, solidification characteristics and finished‑product stability.
Store sealed sacks in dry, well‑ventilated warehouse. Keep away from direct sunlight and high‑temperature heat sources. Prevent partial melting and caking. Reseal sacks promptly after partial discharging.
