This liquid polyolefin antistatic agent Cocobis(Hydroxyethyl)Amine CAS 61791‑08‑0 is a fatty amine‑based non‑ionic antistatic additive for polyolefin materials. Thanks to its moderate molecular mobility inside polyolefin matrix, it migrates rapidly toward plastic surface after extrusion or injection molding. A thin hydrophilic surface layer is formed to dissipate static electric charges. It is suitable for LDPE, PE and PP film as well as injection‑molded polyolefin components. It delivers quick‑
Product DetailsCocobis(Hydroxyethyl)Amine belongs to ethoxylated coconut fatty amine series. As a liquid antistatic additive, it can be metered directly during compounding, masterbatch manufacturing or direct extrusion feeding without preliminary melting operation. After thermal processing of polyolefin resins, the additive gradually migrates from bulk resin to the product surface, forming a continuous hydrophilic molecular film. This hydrophilic layer absorbs tiny amounts of ambient moisture and reduces surface resistivity, preventing static charge accumulation and dust adhesion on film and molded articles.
Fast‑migration characteristic enables finished polyolefin parts to gain antistatic performance shortly after cooling down from molding. This is a critical advantage for continuous film production where products are packed quickly after slitting. For blown film lines, the additive can be incorporated via masterbatch or liquid feeding system. For PP injection molding, it is blended into raw resin before injection.
Formulation technicians need to control addition dosage carefully. Excessive loading will lead to surface blooming, slippage, blocking of rolled‑up film and deterioration of printing adhesion. Insufficient dosage results in weak and short‑lived antistatic performance. It works depending on environmental humidity, so antistatic effectiveness will decline under extremely dry conditions.
Typical recommended dosage ranges from 0.6 wt%‑2.0 wt% for polyolefin film applications; for rigid PP injection‑molded goods, typical dosage is 0.4 wt%‑1.6 wt%. Pre‑production lab testing is required to evaluate migration speed, surface resistivity, film blocking tendency, transparency and printing performance before large‑scale manufacturing.
Store the liquid product in tightly sealed drums within cool, dry and ventilated warehouse. Avoid prolonged high‑temperature storage which may trigger gradual darkening. Prevent water and foreign contaminants from entering containers. After partial discharging, reseal drum lids promptly to suppress oxidation.
