Polypropylene Micronized Wax CAS 9003-07-0 Wear Resistant Coating Masterbatch Paper Additive (CERETAN MP 2140 Equivalent)

Polypropylene Micronized Wax is high‑melting micron‑sized polypropylene wax developed as direct drop‑in replacement for CERETAN MP 2140. Its high melting point provides excellent thermal stability during high‑temperature processing. Fine wax particles migrate to the surface after film formation, effectively improving wear‑resistance and scratch‑resistance of coating systems. In polyolefin masterbatch, it enhances pigment dispersion and surface smoothness of finished plastic parts. For paper surf

Product Overview

Polypropylene Micronized Wax (CAS 9003‑07‑0, CERETAN MP 2140 Equivalent) is low‑molecular‑weight polypropylene resin finely milled into free‑flowing micron powder. Thanks to its relatively high melting temperature, the wax maintains stable surface‑modifying performance under elevated‑temperature conditions. When incorporated into industrial coatings, fine wax particles migrate towards the top layer during curing and form a thin protective film, significantly improving wear‑resistance, scratch‑resistance and surface slip. In color and functional masterbatch, it assists pigment wetting and dispersion, also improving the surface finish of extruded plastic products. For coated paper and special‑purpose paper, it reduces surface friction and enhances scuff‑resistance during stacking and rolling. This product acts as a cost‑effective imported substitute for CERETAN MP 2140 for coating, masterbatch and paper‑chemical manufacturers.

Key Features

  • Functional equivalent to CERETAN MP 2140 for imported grade substitution
  • High‑melting micronized polypropylene powder with excellent thermal stability
  • Significantly improves wear‑resistance, scratch‑resistance and surface slip of coating films
  • Promotes pigment dispersion and optimizes surface finish for polyolefin masterbatch
  • Enhances anti‑scuff and slip performance for coated‑paper surface treatment
  • Fine uniform particle size for favorable dispersion during high‑speed mixing
  • Good compatibility with water‑borne, solvent‑borne coatings and polyolefin resins

Technical Specification

  • Chemical Name: Polypropylene Micronized Wax
  • CAS Number: 9003‑07‑0
  • Appearance: Off‑white fine micron powder
  • Melting Point: 156‑166℃
  • Particle Size: Micron‑grade fine powder
  • Equivalent Grade: CERETAN MP 2140

Application Fields

  1. Industrial solvent‑based and water‑borne anti‑wear topcoat formulations
  2. Polyolefin color masterbatch and functional masterbatch production
  3. Coated paper, packaging paper and specialty paper surface treatment
  4. Plastic compounding requiring improved surface scratch‑resistance

Usage Recommendation

For coating formulations, typical dosage ranges from 0.3‑2.3 % of total formulation weight. For masterbatch production, recommended addition is 1.0‑3.5 %. For paper surface treatment slurry, loading is 0.8‑2.6 %. Add micronized wax in the high‑speed dispersion or sand‑grinding phase. Sufficient dispersion is required to avoid particle agglomeration. Pre‑production laboratory trials are strongly suggested before mass manufacturing to verify wear‑resistance, gloss and storage stability.

Storage & Handling

Store sealed sacks in dry, well‑ventilated warehouse. Keep away from direct sunlight and high‑temperature heat sources. Prevent moisture absorption and powder caking. Reseal sacks promptly after partial discharging.

Safety Notice

This polypropylene micronized wax powder is exclusively for industrial manufacturing, not suitable for food or cosmetic applications. Avoid inhaling fine dust during operation. Wear dust‑proof mask, safety goggles and protective gloves. Please refer to the corresponding MSDS for complete safety operation instructions.
