Product Introduction
Polystyrene Light Diffuser Powder is a cost-effective optical additive developed for indoor flat panel lamp housing. Spherical polystyrene microspheres can form efficient light scattering interfaces inside PS resin matrix. It evenly diffuses LED point light sources, eliminates glare and bright spots, and achieves soft and uniform light output, greatly optimizing the lighting effect and surface appearance of flat panel lamp housings.
Special reminder: The refractive index of polystyrene microspheres is close to PMMA resin. Satisfactory light diffusion performance cannot be obtained when mixed with PMMA raw materials. This product is only applicable to PS resin system. It has narrow particle size distribution and outstanding dispersibility, and can adapt to injection molding production. It effectively avoids common defects including microsphere agglomeration, fish eyes and streaks on finished lamp housings.
Core Advantages
Excellent matching performance with PS resin. Microspheres can be uniformly dispersed through conventional mixing equipment without complicated pretreatment.
Balanced light transmittance and haze. Stable and consistent light homogenization effect can be realized at reasonable addition amount, improving the texture of lighting products.
Good thermal stability suitable for injection molding. It is not easy to decompose or turn yellow under normal processing temperature, lowering the reject rate of lamp shells.
High cost performance. It helps manufacturers control raw material costs while meeting the optical requirements of indoor lighting fixtures.
Application Scope
Polystyrene Light Diffuser Powder is mainly used for injection molded indoor flat panel lamp housing. It can also be applied to PS lamp covers, ceiling lighting components and other transparent PS lighting parts. Widely used in household panel lights, commercial indoor lighting and decorative lighting fields. This product is not suitable for PMMA acrylic substrates.
Usage Guidance
Adjust the addition dosage according to the required haze and light transmittance of finished lamp housings. Mix polystyrene light diffuser powder with PS plastic pellets evenly before feeding. Follow the standard processing temperature range of PS resin. Avoid long-time high-temperature retention of mixed materials to ensure full dispersion of microspheres and stable optical performance of finished products.
Packaging and Storage
The product adopts sealed moisture-proof packaging to prevent microsphere agglomeration caused by moisture absorption. Store in dry, cool and ventilated indoor environment, away from direct sunlight and humid surroundings. Keep the package tightly sealed after each use. Stable optical and physical properties can be maintained within shelf life under proper storage conditions.
