During continuous hot molding of thermoset plastics and vulcanized rubber, hot cross‑linking resin and rubber compound tend to adhere firmly to metallic mold cavities. Traditional temporary water‑based release agents often wear away after only one molding cycle, requiring frequent re‑spraying and interrupting mass‑production rhythm. Many release agents produce uneven release films, which result in surface tearing, indentations and blemishes on molded workpieces. Frequent mold cleaning leads to production downtime and increases overall manufacturing costs.

When applied onto thoroughly cleaned mold surfaces, the solvent evaporates quickly, leaving a thin continuous silicone film on the mold cavity. This non‑stick barrier prevents direct contact between hot polymer mass and mold steel. It provides reliable lubrication during demolding and supports multiple consecutive molding cycles without immediate re‑coating. The formulation suits compression, transfer and injection molding of thermoset resins including phenolic, melamine and unsaturated polyester, as well as various sulfur‑vulcanized rubber compounds.

Nevertheless, users need to recognize that silicone migration still occurs. Residual silicone traces remaining on molded rubber or thermoset plastic parts may interfere with subsequent painting, printing and adhesive bonding operations. If post‑finishing procedures are required for finished parts, appropriate surface cleaning and degreasing shall be implemented. The silicone release layer will gradually wear after repeated molding runs. Once sticking or surface defects start to emerge, the mold needs cleaning and fresh release agent coating. Over‑spraying should be avoided, as excessive silicone deposits will build‑up inside mold cavities and generate oily blemishes on product surfaces.

For on‑site workshop operation, thoroughly remove old mold residues before application. Spray or wipe the release agent to form a thin uniform coating. Allow sufficient flash‑off time for complete solvent evaporation before starting molding operations. Since the solvent is flammable, maintain effective workshop ventilation and strictly eliminate all ignition sources.

Avoid foreign debris contamination, prolonged high‑temperature storage and direct sunlight exposure. Long‑term high‑temperature storage causes gradual solvent volatilization, resulting in increased silicone concentration and deteriorated spraying performance.
